Clinical Mental Health Counseling Option

This specialty area meets educational requirements to apply for PLPC (provisional) licensure in Missouri, with an approved supervisor and a supervision plan that has been approved by the State Committee for Professional Counselors, and successfully passing the National Counselor Examination (NCE).

To be fully licensed in Missouri, applicants must also provide two years of post-graduate supervised experience (providing at least 3,000 hours of service including 1,200 hours of direct client service), and successfully complete a jurisprudence examination and two hours of suicide prevention training, as of 2022.
