Learning outcomes for the counseling graduate program

• Students will demonstrate competence on the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) content standards by earning a satisfactory score on the School Counseling Content Exam.
• Students will be able to apply the Council for Accreditation in Counseling and Related Educational Professions (CACREP) and Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) standards to their field of study as demonstrated by successfully completing field-based practicum and internships based on CACREP and CAEP criteria.
• Students will demonstrate knowledge of counseling competency through successful completion of the national counselor educator comprehensive examination.
