Distance Education Committee
The Distance Education Committee reports to the Provost and assists with coordinating and communicating policy and best practices to faculty regarding non-traditional, innovative teaching modalities. The committee is comprised of faculty representatives from each of the Missouri State Colleges and members from the Office of the Provost, Outreach, Computer Services, and the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning.
Faculty representatives provide information and recommendations from the direct viewpoint of educators engaged in delivering distance education. The committee as a whole provides support for the continuing development of distance learning at Missouri State as technology and student needs continue to evolve.
The collaborative work of the Distance Education Committee is a part of the overall mission of Missouri State to offer a student-centered learning environment and excellent teaching.
