Vocal Audition Requirements

Students wishing to audition for acceptance as a music major in the voice area must be prepared to:

• sing two contrasting classical pieces from memory
• sight-sing (from easy to more difficult)
• sing tonal memory exercises (5-6 meters)

An accompanist will be provided. Please bring your own music.

Note

All incoming undergraduate students wanting to audition for a music major must also take the theory entrance exam.
