Instrumental Performance Track

Students performing in an orchestra

Master your instrument and develop cross-disciplinary skills

While studying instrumental music at Missouri State, you will have the opportunity to be an active performer in a band or orchestra while also getting focused, often one-on-one training. You can round out your musical training with extensive courses in music theory and other aspects of the discipline. You will also have multiple performance and recital opportunities, including a senior recital. This course of study will also prepare you well to pursue further studies in a graduate program.

The instrumental performance focus consists of 46-47 hours in addition to the core requirements for the Bachelor of Music degree.
