Biography

Dr. Sanjay Tewari actively engages in pedagogical and scholarly activities as an Associate Teaching Professor at the Cooperative Engineering Program. Dr. Tewari's teaching and research efforts are focused on environmental engineering, water resources engineering, and other foundational areas of civil engineering. Specifically, his focus is on drinking water quality, challenges related to wastewater treatment, and issues that are at the intersection of sustainability and resiliency of infrastructure. His recently funded projects have been in the area of pollution prevention and resiliency of infrastructure.

In addition, Dr. Tewari has an interest in K-12 STEM education. He has a strong interest in engineering education-related activities and societies. He enjoys teaching various core classes and mentoring students and engineering societies such as the MSU Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
