Summary - We will review the recommendations for when weight loss drugs can be used and what to expect if your doctor prescribes you one of the common weight loss drugs, including cost, side effects, and usual results.
Instructor - Ashley Evans - Manager Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy, PharmD, BCACP
- Dr. Ashley Evans is a Clinical Pharmacy Manager at Mercy Springfield who practices in a chronic disease state management consultation service at Mercy Clinic Internal Medicine- Smith Glynn Callaway. Dr. Evans is an Arkansas native who earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2011 from the University of Tulsa and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy in 2015. Dr. Evans continued her professional training, completing both a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at CoxHealth from 2015 to 2017. After residency, Dr. Evans joined Mercy Springfield as their first full time ambulatory care pharmacist practitioner and earned a Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy.
