Education Benefits
Tuition assistance
For information on the different Tuition Assistance programs, please visit Tuition Assistance. We ask that all eligible students to talk with their Unit Education Office or POC to ensure all requirements have been met as they apply for this benefit. We also encourage all students to talk with our Director, Mrs. Raeleen Ziegler by calling 417-836-6199 and/or emailing VeteranServices@missouristate.edu.
*In most cases TA requests must be submitted to your respective military branch and approved before the start date of the class(es).
GI Bill® benefits
Many of our veteran/military students qualify for educational benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Steps to Receive VA Education Benefits page provides more information on how to apply for these benefits.
Yellow Ribbon Program
Missouri State also participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, which makes additional funds available for your education program without an additional charge to your GI Bill® entitlement.
Generally, veterans with 36 months of service or more on active duty who qualify for the 100% benefit rate may qualify for the Yellow Ribbon Program. To determine eligibility, you must apply for Post-9/11 GI Bill® benefits with the VA. The VA will issue a Certificate of Eligibility, which includes your Yellow Ribbon eligibility.
