July 11, 2002 Minutes

1. Call to Order - A regular meeting of the Staff Senate of Missouri State University was called to order at Plaster Student Union, Room 313 at 1:30 p.m.

2. Roll Call -

Present - John Avery, F. Chris Brown, Kelly Brown, Patrick Byers, Sara Clark, Belinda Davis, Chuck Donald, SuzAnn Ferguson, Mary Lynne Golden, Betty Lewis, Lisa McEowen-LeVangie, Steve Mills, Lisa Reed, Alan Roland, Pam Sailor, Myril Stewart

Absent - David Liss, Edie Sartin

Guests - Jeff Adams, Angie Cockrum, Greg Burris, Dick Johnson, Shirley Moentnish, Esther Siler, Ginger Allard, Judith Mead, Carol Raby, Steven Lowery, Sarah Morrissey, Jack Crawford, Frank Bennett, Sheila Ponder, Phil Nichols, Katheryne Staeger-Wilson, Stephanie Grevillius, June Varney, Ed DeLong, John Keiser

Members Resigned - Mark Barton and Gary L. R. Smith

Mary Lynne Golden, Chairperson, presided and Mary Lynne recorded the proceedings of the meeting.

3. New Business -

Dr John H Keiser, President, spoke about the University budget and salary issues. Discussions covered the University budget and salary issues.

Sara Clark, Issues and Concerns Committee Chairperson, distributed the Staff Budget and Priorities Survey results for review. The survey will be discussed at the next meeting.

Staff Senate will need to approve May, June and July minutes.

4. Announcements -

The next meeting of the Staff Senate will be held Thursday, August 1, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. in Plaster Student Union, Room 313.

A motion to adjourn was made, seconded and passed. Staff Senate adjourned at 2:30.
