Campers will be divided into small groups based on age and ability and will have assigned
counselors for the duration of the week.
All Camp Claw Staff and Campus Recreation Staff receive the following training:
American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid
Emergency response as well as all Campus Recreation and MSU Emergency Action Plans
Missouri State University Campus Security Authority
Child Abuse and Neglect Training
Discrimination Awareness in the Workplace
Title IX: Responsible Employees
All Camp Claw Staff will go through the following background checks
Criminal Record Check
Sexual Offender Check
Adult Abuse Registry
Required to Register with the Family Care and Safety Registry
Campers will be in two locations on Missouri State University’s campus - Foster Recreation
Center and Betty and Bobby Allison Recreation Fields. Campers will move between these
two locations as a group following a specific and direct path ensuring that all campers
are accounted for. Both locations require access.
Campers will never be alone; campers will always be in a group with a counselor and
a minimum of two campers.
Camp Claw will teach and reinforce good hand washing technique and covering coughs
and sneezes.
