About Inspire the Roar
In the vibrant heart of Missouri State University, the Student Leadership Team of Spring 2024 is set to ignite the campus spirit with Inspire the Roar: 5K for Missouri State University Campus Recreation. This invigorating event promises more than just a race; it's a celebration of community, health, and leadership. As students and the community lace up their running shoes and gather for this dynamic 5K, they will not only challenge their own limits but also strengthen the bonds that make their university experience unique. With each step, participants will echo the roar of campus pride and enthusiasm, fueling both personal achievements and the growth of the Campus Recreation program.
In addition to fostering campus unity and promoting wellness, Inspire the Roar: 5K for Missouri State University Campus Recreation is also dedicated to making a meaningful impact beyond the university. By participating in the 5K, students and faculty alike will be part of a larger movement, where their enthusiasm for fitness translates into real-world support for those in need.

In an article in Campus Rec Magazine where the Foster Recreation Center was highlighted, it says, “The program is 17 weeks long and consists of eight students. Meeting for two hours a week, their first seven to eight weeks during the fall semester consist of practical work. They must propose an event or program they would like to implement and work through the logistics of it. The second half of the program in the spring semester is theory, focusing on the groups’ strengths and dynamics, conflict management skills, etc.” (Campus Rec Magazine, 2024).
