Join University Ambassadors

We are excited you are interested in being one of the first friendly faces to welcome students to our campus. We hope to see your application!

When is recruitment?

Recruitment will take place in the Fall 2024 semester. We encourage prospective Ambassadors to:

  • Attend one of the information sessions listed below, if possible, AND
  • Submit an application through BearLink by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 25. Note that you will have to be logged into your Missouri State account to access the application. 

How do I join?

You must apply and be selected. Applicants are required to have:

  • A full-time undergraduate status,
  • Completed at least 24 hours at Missouri State by May 2025 AND
  • At least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
  • Note that Resident Assistants are not eligible to join University Ambassadors.

When’s the next info session?

  • August 28, 2024 – 4 to 5 p.m. – Davis-Harrington Welcome Center
  • September 9, 2024 – 5 to 6 p.m. – Davis-Harrington Welcome Center
  • September 11, 2024 – 7 to 8 p.m. – Zoom session
  • September 16, 2024 – 5 to 6 p.m. – Davis-Harrington Welcome Center
  • September 24, 2024 – 4 to 5 p.m. – Davis-Harrington Welcome Center
  • October 1, 2024 – 7 to 8 p.m. – Zoom session
  • October 14, 2024 – 5 to 6 p.m. – Davis-Harrington Welcome Center
  • October 23, 2024 – 4 to 5 p.m. – Davis-Harrington Welcome Center

Dates to keep in mind

  • August 18, 2024 – Visit our table at the Student Organization Festival from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Great Southern Bank Arena Concourse and 5 to 7 p.m. on the North Mall for the Belong-B-Que!
  • October 25, 2024 – Applications due. 
  • October 29, 2024 – Applicants will be notified of their interview times for the Nov. 4-6 interview sessions.
  • November 4-6, 2024 – Interview sessions conducted.
  • November 9, 2024 – Applicants will be notified of the selection committee’s decisions.
  • December 13, 2024 – Hiring paperwork must be completed.
  • February 2, 2025 – Ambassador Training Retreat
  • March 2, 2025 – Ambassador Training Mini-Retreat
