Accommodation Resources
Disability accommodations
Missouri State University is committed to providing an accessible and supportive environment for employees and students with disabilities. Equal access for qualified employees and students with disabilities is an obligation of the University under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
The University is committed to insuring that no otherwise-qualified individual with a disability is excluded, denied services, segregated or otherwise treated differently than other individuals because of the absence of auxiliary aids or other appropriate services; however, accommodations cannot result in an undue burden to the University or fundamentally alter the requirements essential to a program of instruction or the essential functions of a job.

Religious accommodations
The Missouri State University community should in all its activities be sensitive to the religious practices of the various religious faiths represented in its student body and employees. As a public institution, the University neither promotes any particular form of religion nor discriminates against students, staff, or faculty on the basis of their religious viewpoints. The University makes reasonable accommodations for students, staff, and faculty based on a person’s sincerely held religious belief, unless the provision of such an accommodation would create an undue hardship.
Missouri State University is committed to diversity and nondiscrimination and supports qualified applicants, students and employees, regardless of religious affiliation, in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
