Join A Trip
Every person who goes on a Bear Breaks immersion trip is a Missouri State student, faculty, or staff member. Typically, 5 participants with 2 student trip leaders, and a Faculty/Staff Advisor.
Participants will engage in direct service, learn about different cultures, and discuss social issues and active citizenship. Upon their return from the trip, groups will look to address issues in their own communities.

Chicago, IL | Nourishing Futures and Building Hope: Fighting Hunger and Homelessness in Chicago,
IL Travel to Chicago, IL and help serve people battling hunger and homelessness. Trip participants will help serve the Chicago community as well as participate in meaningful discussions about the impact of their day. Participants will also grow their knowledge of food insecurity and homelessness and the impact it has on the well-being of others. Alongside serving and volunteering, students will have the opportunity to explore the city of Chicago. |

Spreading Positivity in Pediatrics: Working to Support Children and Families Experiencing Hospitalization in Dallas,
TX Explore the beautiful city of Dallas, TX, while also helping support pediatric patients and their families. Participants will volunteer in local non-profits as well as hospitals and various community resources that work with children. Trip participants will participate in volunteering along with daily discussions about their experiences. Trip participants will also get the opportunity to explore Dallas and build meaningful relationships with their peers. |
