Summer Visit Days Schedule

 

Check-in and most activities take place in the Plaster Student Union (PSU).

The schedule listed below is subject to slight modifications.

9 a.m.

Check-in

9 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.
Plaster Student Union, inside northwest entrance
Grab a nametag and welcome bag at our check-in stations.

Walking tours

9 a.m. – noon
Meet at bear statue north of the Plaster Student Union
Take a walking tour of academic buildings with a current student. Please allow 30 to 40 minutes for the tour. Last tour departs at 11:30 a.m.

9:15 – 9:45 a.m. in PSU Theater
9:45 – 10:15 a.m. in PSU 313

Foster Recreation Center tours

9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Foster Recreation Center
The Foster Recreation Center is a place for the entire campus community to work out, play and learn about healthy living.

Admission presentations (multiple times available)

Exploring the academic colleges

10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

This is an opportunity to meet faculty and staff members who represent more than 170 academic majors and programs.

Student life expo

10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Plaster Student Union, 2nd floor
Visit booths inside Plaster Student Union to meet representatives from several campus organizations and student support services.

Residence hall tours

10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. 
Meet at front desk of each open residence hall
Come on in! Quick tours of select residence halls. Please allow 30 to 40 minutes for the tour. Last tour departs at 1 p.m.

  • Reynolds College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities: Choose from three tracks

    • Explore the rich history of the College of Education, a variety of subject areas and interactive teaching activities through a treasure hunt. Hill Hall 213 (Enter Hill through main front doors.)
  • College of Natural and Applied Sciences: Three tracks
    Start in Blunt Hall 107 for all of the following:
    • Chemistry: Explore the high-tech instruments and lab spaces you will use as an undergraduate student.
    • Earth, Environment and Sustainability: Learn about dynamic stream environments with a stream-table demonstration. Check out mineral and rock identification stations to learn how microfossils can help determine trends in climate change.
    • Physics and materials science: Check out live electromagnetic demonstrations.
  • McQueary College of Health and Human Services: Drop by to discover how our McQueary College will help take your health care career to the next level. See our hands-on lab spaces where students build skills for the future.
