Research and professional interests
Current research and professional interest is focused on the idea of "trauma God," including exploring religious trauma and the history of religion and trauma in 20th and 21st century United States. Other interests include the history of Pentecostal and charismatic Christianity in the United States. Trauma-informed pedagogy as well as general theories and practices of teaching round out professional focus. Artman is the author of "The Miracle Lady: Kathryn Kuhlman and the Transformation of Charismatic Christianity in America," published by Eerdmans Press.
