State, Regional, and Federal Compliance
Program Review, Approval and Accreditations
The Office of the Provost tracks Program Review, Approval and Accreditations Resources. Academic administrators can find program review guidelines; the annual report for academic units, programs, and departments; and a comprehensive schedule of reviews, action plans, and progress reports.
EMSAS (State Compliance)
Since the fall of 1987, the Missouri Department of Higher Education (MDHE) has annually collected student unit-record information from public institutions across the state. Now known collectively as the Enhanced Missouri Student Achievement Study (EMSAS), these collections have proven invaluable in the ongoing analysis and evaluation of postsecondary education in Missouri. Statistical summaries contain numerous tables of aggregate data for Missouri public and independent institutions.
Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS)
IPEDS consists of extensive data collected, analyzed, and reported by the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) since 1986. These data are widely used in the evaluation and comparisons of approximately 7,500 higher education institutions across the United States. The IPEDS data collection effort consists of several components, each with a specific purpose and collected at a specific time. For more comprehensive information, visit the IPEDS Data Center. View the IPEDS Data Center User Manual for assistance using these data.
Annual IPEDS Data Feedback Reports are intended to provide Missouri State University a context for examining the data submitted by the university to IPEDS. These reports provide institutional executives a useful resource to consider toward improving the quality of IPEDS data, as well as the ability to use data for direct comparisons with similar institutions.
