I have part time hours for 16 year old twin girls. Twin A has cerebral palsy, autism,
seizure disorder (mostly controlled with meds). She is total care, diapers, feeding,
bathing, wheelchair. She also has a stander. Her mentality is estimated to that of
a 9 month old baby. She needs to be transferred by lifting or hoyer. She's a pretty
easy lift at 90ish pounds. She holds on and her weight is distributed evenly, but
hoyer is available. She does have self harming behaviors, hitting herself and biting
herself. She also cracks herself up hysterically for unknown to us reasons. She likes
people to sing to her, listen to music and watch TV/movies and just general interactions.
Right now during summer school, which is the month of June hours available are Fridays,
630-730 AM to get her on the bus, then 345-7 for dinner bath, bed. No school days
are Tuesday 11-230 Thursday, 1-7 and Friday 1-7. Starting pay 21.50/hr ONE OF OUR
CURRENT PA'S BABY IS DUE THE END OF JUNE OR EARLY JULY SO MANY MORE HOURS WILL OPEN
UP AT THAT TIME. SHE HAS TOLD ME SHE IS GOING TO TAKE 3 MONTHS MATERNITY LEAVE.
Twin B also has CP, but you can only tell by some clumsiness. She also has Autism
and is socially awkward, and 68 IQ. With her you do social skills, learning address
and mom's phone number, chores, anger management, identifying and counting money and
outings. She loves the mall, going to the YMCA, swimming, eating out, orange cats,
Wolves, music, and someone young at heart, bubbly and fun. twin B starts at 20.50
and hour and hours vary as she will be working through the BASE program this summer.
She can be available later afternoons and on some weekends. She is a little hard to
get to know so she may take a while to build the relationship.
Our home has cats and dogs and is usually a mess.
