Position Summary

Job Description: Position Summary
The Digital Imaging Associate creates high-quality digital images of various materials,
such as photographs, documents, and artwork. This role involves operating and maintaining
digital imaging equipment, digitizing and editing images using specialized software
and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of metadata associated with the digital
assets. The associate may also assist with image retrieval and database management,
as well as collaborate with other departments to support digital preservation initiatives.

Essential Functions
• Converts historical images into electronic formats using scanners, digital cameras,
and other technology
• Uses Adobe Photoshop and other electronic media editing software to edit digital

• Conducts quality control checks on the digital collection
