Working as a radiological technician
As an RT, you provide essential patient care by:
- Using diagnostic equipment like x-ray, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment.
- Exercising judgement during medical imaging procedures.
- Adhering to the principles of radiation protection for the patient, self and others.
- Recognizing emergency patient conditions and initiating life-saving first aid.
RTs receive supervision from a qualified physician.
