The faculty and staff within Missouri State University Biomedical Sciences (BMS) are

Initiatives we've taken
We are dedicated to providing the tools and resources necessary for our students to
achieve their academic and career goals. Key initiatives we have implemented include:
- The introduction of two new program options in 2022, offering students flexibility
to select programs that are human-centered and aligned with their career aspirations.
- Ongoing updates to program requirements to ensure alignment with evolving demands
in healthcare and related fields.
- Course offerings that that offer a cultural history of science and healthcare, fostering
a deeper understanding of the practices of science and healthcare.
- All of our teaching faculty have achieved master advising status, reflecting our commitment
to mentoring students and helping them excel as pre-health professionals.
- Monthly workshops since 2020 focused on professional development, advising, and teaching
practices to enhance the effectiveness of our faculty and staff.
We are committed to producing highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals who will

through mentorship, educational flexibility, and a focus on professional development.
