Program Description
This certificate is designed for students who already have a bachelor's degree in a field other than communication sciences and disorders, but who wish to be considered for entry into graduate programs in speech-language pathology. This certificate offers prerequisite coursework needed to apply to the MSU graduate program, though may be suitable for admission consideration to other speech-language pathology graduate programs across the nation. The entire certificate is offered online and can be completed in two semesters once prerequisite coursework is complete.
Admission Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- A cumulative GPA (of all coursework) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale
- Completion of the following coursework or the equivalent with a grade of C or higher:
- Normal Language Acquisition CSD 312
- Cultural and Linguistic Diversity CSD 388
- Hearing and Speech Science CSD 360
