Our Life Skills Communication Group is a individual or group therapy process for re-learning how to make life work again. Many young people and adults have brain trauma enter their lives. Re-grouping after these serious events requires attention to the details of daily living in a new way. Join us for the support you may need. Stroke Support Group
The Stroke Support Group is a group speech-language therapy opportunity for individuals who have survived a stroke and would benefit from social support and group speech and language therapy. The group is meant to provide recovery and rehabilitation to help both survivors and caregivers overcome the challenges and sense of isolation that can accompany stroke.
Communication Support Group
The Communication Support Group is a group speech-language therapy opportunity for individuals who have survived a traumatic brain injury or stroke. This group provides continuing support for those returning to everyday activities after major life changes. Members help one another face and overcome common challenges by sharing experiences and encouraging one another.
Evaluation Services
Evaluation services are provided to individuals of all ages for articulation or speech sound disorders, language impairments, voice disorders, problems in fluency or stuttering, and impaired oral muscular control. The assessment typically includes comprehensive testing and observation, interviews with the client and family members, and consultation regarding the clinical findings and recommendations.
Intervention Programs
Intervention programs vary depending on the nature and severity of the communication disorder, the person's age and individual concerns. Therapy may be scheduled for individual or group sessions with clients of all ages. Parents of children in therapy as well as family members or caregivers of adult clients receive information regarding the person's progress and ways to facilitate communication skills outside the clinic.
Accent Reduction Program
Accent Reduction for individuals with foreign or regional accents, the Accent Reduction Program focuses on improving pronunciation, intonation, spoken grammar and use of the language.
