Diploma/Certificate
Missouri State University is partnering with our vendor Parchment to provide digital and printed diplomas and certificates. A Digital Diploma/Certificate is an official signed and certified PDF of your diploma/certificate, secured with a Blue-Ribbon Security Certificate. Undergraduate, Master, Specialist diplomas, and certificates are 8.5”x11”, and Doctoral diplomas are 11”x14”.
Current Graduates
You will receive one paper diploma (per degree earned) and/or certificate and access to download a digital diploma/certificate free of charge. Please note, some account holds may prevent your diploma/certificate from being issued.
Paper diplomas/certificates are mailed beginning four to six weeks after your degree has been awarded. The digital diploma/certificate will be sent via email from Parchment to your Missouri State student email address. Once you receive your digital diploma/certificate, it will always be accessible through your Parchment account; you can log in and download anytime.
Diplomas/certificates are unavailable for pickup from the Office of the Registrar or at commencement. Diplomas/certificates are produced by an off-campus commercial printer and mailed via USPS mail to the address you choose on your Application to Graduate. Your graduation application status and diploma/certificate mailing address can be viewed in your My Missouri State.
You can verify that your degree/certificate has been posted by viewing your unofficial transcript in your My Missouri State.
Diplomas/certificates that are being sent to international addresses will be mailed via USPS mail services with no tracking numbers. Please allow additional delivery time for delivery to international addresses.
For questions or concerns regarding diploma/certificate mailing please contact Registrar@missouristate.edu.

Op3.04-21 Diploma/University Certificate
The diploma/certificate is provided to students after the end of the semester of graduation
if all graduation requirements have been met. Students may refer to the academic calendar
regarding the timing of the mailing of diplomas at the end of each term.
The diploma lists the degree earned, major(s), and the scholastic honors attained
at the end of the semester of graduation. Options within majors and minors are not
recorded on the diploma but are on the transcript. Students completing multiple majors
in the same degree in the same semester will only receive one diploma listing all
majors.
The certificate lists the level (undergraduate or graduate) and the name of the program
of study.
The student name listed on a diploma or certificate must match a name on file in the
University’s student information system, which will be available to select in the
application to graduate process.
All reissued diplomas and/or certificates produced on or after August 28, 2005 will
bear the name Missouri State University.
The Office of the Registrar will be responsible for establishing and communicating
the procedure for requesting a reissued diploma/certificate. A reissued diploma/certificate
fee will be charged in accordance with the current Fee Schedule.
