Audiology Pathway Year 2
By the end of year two, students pursuing the Audiology Pathway must complete the following requirements:
HPS Retention Requirements:
- Achieve a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.5; GPA may not fall below a 3.25 in any semester
- Accumulate a total of 150 hours of clinical observation, health-related volunteer experience, health-related internship experience, or direct patient care experience
- Provide a positive clinical supervisor evaluation
- Attend at least one advisement meeting hosted by the HPS committee
- Become an active member in at least one student health-related organization (active membership includes regular attendance at meetings, participating in events, etc.)
- Provide evidence of endorsement of MSU Public Affairs Mission by completing a minimum of 30 hours of community service (please note - hours completed as a part of service learning or for scholarship renewal will be counted here)
- Complete the following courses with a "C" or better:
- PSY 121: Introductory Psychology
Audiology Pathway Requirements:
- Be sure you have accumulated hours of clinical observation, health-related volunteer experience, health-related internship experience, or direct patient care experience that is directly related to audiology (may apply hours accumulated through service learning to meet this requirement)
- No less than a "C" may be earned in any of the courses required for the Audiology pathway; BMS 307 and BMS 308 are the exceptions and must be passed with a "B-" or better.
