Centennial Leaders Program

In addition to receiving scholarship money, Centennial Scholars will participate in the exclusive Missouri State sponsored Centennial Leaders Program. The program is designed to recognize deserving students who exhibit outstanding leadership potential. During their commitment to the University, Centennial Scholars will enjoy special status as well as responsibilities.

Application Process

The scholarship application consists of three parts:

1. Address, contact and academic information (test score, GPA, etc.).
2. A list of organizations and activities participated in, and awards and honors received.
3. An essay describing your most meaningful leadership accomplishment.

Before applying, be sure that you have been highly involved in three of the following areas:

• Leadership
• Volunteerism
• Performing arts
• Athletics

Based on submitted applications, finalists will be selected to attend on-campus interviews. Forty (40) Centennial Scholars will be chosen from those interviewed.

How to apply

For detailed eligibility criteria, as well as other scholarship policies and guidelines, please refer to our Scholarships for Freshmen page. We strongly encourage you to apply by the December 1 priority deadline. However, you will qualify for scholarship consideration if you do the following by the February 1, 2025 final deadline:

• Complete the online application.
• Be admitted to the University.
• While not required, it's strongly encouraged that all applicants submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
