Prior to teaching full time for Missouri State University, Dr. Na'ayem taught business law, political science, and other business classes (financial accounting, personal finance, principles of business, and business communications) at Ozarks Technical Community College from 2017 to 2022. For the first 22 years of his professional career, he served as a compliance officer, director, manager, aide, and consultant to employers and clients in various industries including those in public accounting; real estate development, portfolio and asset management, and syndication; county government and tax administration; and private law firms.
Dr. Na'ayem graduated with honors from (Southwest) Missouri State University in 1997, where he was an active student leader on campus and earned his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Management, majoring in Administrative Management with a minor in Business Legal Studies. Dr. Na'ayem then attended the University of Tulsa College of Law where he graduated with honors and earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Certificate in Public Policy and Regulatory Studies in 1999. The son of an immigrant of Chaldean-Assyrian ancestry and a native of Springfield, Missouri, Dr. Na'ayem is proud to be teaching now at his alma mater where his father and mother both first met as students, where several other family members attended and even taught as instructors before him, and in his hometown where he resides with his wife raising their three children, is active in his church, and serves his community.
