Environmental Improvement Targets

  1. The University will encourage reduction of solid and hazardous wastes generated (refer also to the the Sustainability webpage).  Examples of opportunities to reduce waste volumes may include green chemistry initiatives in labs/studios, managing purchases to minimize surplus, etc. 
    1. Cardboard, paper products, metal and plastics, vegetative waste, pallets, and hazardous wastes will be included as targets for waste reduction.
    2. The University will also manage stormwater controls in accordance with the stormwater management plan to minimize sediment and pollutant discharge into area streams from University properties.
