The below recycling policies apply to the academic and administrative buildings at Missouri State. If you live in a residence hall, their policies can be obtained by calling Residence Life, Housing and Dining Services at 417-836-5536. Paper
What Paper Can Be Recycled?
- all kinds of white paper--typing, copy, letterhead, scratch, computer (white, green and blue bar), memos
- white file folders
- envelopes with and without windows
What Cannot Be Recycled With Paper?
- carbon paper
- Tyvek (overnight envelopes)
- styrofoam
- wood
- acetate sheets
- photographs
- newspapers and magazines
- chemically treated paper
- thermal FAX paper
Where?
- The maroon "office paper" collection containers located in each academic and administrative building. Each large bin has the recycle logo on it.
Aluminum
Where?
- Aluminum cans, foil and other forms are to be placed in the aluminum containers in each academic and administrative building. Large amounts can be taken to the Custodial Services building in Lot 22 at 1003 Normal Street.
Plastic, Glass, and Cardboard
Where?
- Plastic, glass, and cardboard of all kinds can be disposed of in their respective bins behind the New Cafeteria. Containers are now provided for plastic soda bottles throughout campus.
