Advisement

Advisors guide your academic success.

They help you register for classes, stay on track to graduate and more.

How do you get an undergraduate advisor?

It’s a two-part process.

  1. Declare your major at the Academic Advisement and Transfer Center.
  2. Contact our department to have an advisor assigned to you. Your advisor will have knowledge in your interest area.

You must receive advisor release prior to registering for each semester of graduate study.

If you are a student in the MPS applied communication option, see the MPS advisement page to schedule an advising appointment.

Graduate students are also required to submit an advisor approved program of study to the Graduate College before 14 hours have been completed.
