Complete the FAFSA

If you want to be considered for federal, state and/or Missouri State financial aid, you must complete the FAFSA. MSU’s priority deadline is February 1. Use our FAFSA code 002503.

* Costs shown are based on 14 credit hours per semester using the basic tuition of $290 per credit hour for Missouri residents ($621 for nonresidents) and include student services fees ($691 per semester for full-time students). Some programs charge additional fees for their courses and some courses have supplemental fees.

You should also plan for your personal expenses. The office of student financial aid establishes a cost of attendance that is used in making financial aid awards. It includes the above costs and an estimate for personal expenses.

Not from Missouri? We offer aid for out-of-state Bears! 

You may qualify for the Out-of-State Tuition Waiver, a full waiver of nonresident fees. When you factor in financial aid, Missouri State may be more affordable than a school in your state.  

To qualify, you must have: 

ACT/SAT
24 or 1160
Score a 24 on the ACT or 1160 on the SAT (the higher of your composite or superscore*).
GPA
3.25+
On a 4.0 GPA scale.
Class rank
50%
Be in the top half of your class.
