Biography
Natalie A. Curry, MSW, LCSW, is a Clinical Assistant Professor and BSW Program Coordinator in the School of Social Work at Missouri State University. Ms. Curry has been on the faculty at MSU since 2015. Ms. Curry earned a Master of Social Work degree in 2006 from Washington University in St. Louis and has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri since 2009. From 2006-2008, she was the Social Worker for a faith-based outreach program in downtown St. Louis called Centenary CARES serving individuals who were homeless or at-risk of homelessness. From 2008-2011, she was the Horizon Club Social Worker for the St. Louis Office for Developmental Disabilities, overseeing a housing program for individuals who were chronically homeless and also had developmental disabilities.
After moving to southwest Missouri in 2011, she served as a Behavioral Health Clinician at Mercy Hospital’s inpatient psychiatric unit, providing individual therapy, family sessions, and facilitating psychoeducational groups. From 2014-2015, she worked as a Behavioral Health Consultant at Jordan Valley Community Health Center, implementing brief interventions and short-term services for patients as part of an integrated healthcare team. Ms. Curry had prior teaching experience at Washington University in St. Louis, Drury University, and Missouri State University prior to joining the faculty at MSU full-time.
