Research and professional interests
I am interested in understanding how cells communicate with one another. My laboratory has spent much of our efforts trying to do this by studying a particular group of receptor molecules that respond to nucleotides, the P2 nucleotide receptors. These receptors also have important roles to play in a variety of physiological activities, such as platelet aggregation, vasodilation and inflammation.
