August 13 All-Faculty Welcome Back Webinar

In this welcome back webinar held August 13, the provost, president and Faculty Senate chair addressed systemic racism, how Missouri State is responding to create a more inclusive campus environment, and how faculty and staff members can help.

Several faculty and staff members also shared their experiences and perspectives on racism and the challenges that face Missouri State:

• Wes Pratt, chief diversity officer.
• Dr. Lyle Foster, assistant professor of sociology and anthropology.
• Dr. Blanca Judith Martínez Díaz, diversity fellow and assistant professor of modern and classical languages.

This webinar replaced the traditional all-faculty welcome lunch.
