Awarding International Partnership Scholarships
Op5.09-6 Awarding International Partnership Scholarships
Pursuant to G5.03 International Partnership Scholarships and G5.06 International Student Scholarships and Agreements, the Vice President for Research and Economic Development and International Programs has the authority to determine the criteria for awarding a scholarship that represents a 75% reduction in the non-resident portion of tuition for certain international students. This scholarship is primarily designed for students coming to Missouri State University from international partner universities and organizations that maintain a cooperative agreement with the University. In some instances e.g., severe student financial hardship, family emergency or political/security circumstances in the student’s home country, the Office of International Programs may recommend that students without an affiliation to a cooperative university or organization be considered for the International Partner Scholarship. In those situations, the Associate Vice President for International Education and Training shall make a written recommendation (detailing the circumstances of the proposed exception) for consideration by the Vice President for Research and Economic Development and International Programs. In keeping with the above referenced policies, it will be the responsibility of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development and International Programs to approve or deny the scholarship request.
