G1.23 Presidential Search Process
In exercising its responsibility to appoint a University President, the Board shall appoint a Presidential Search Committee and designate its chairperson. The Committee shall be asked to seek and solicit, as well as receive, all applications for the position of President of the University; develop a file for each candidate, including the candidate's placement papers, resume, and recommendations from those who know the candidate and who speak for him/her; and review all candidates, screen down to approximately 8-10, conduct in-depth interviews, and present a list of finalists to the Board of Governors. The Chair of the Board shall confer on a regular basis with the Chairperson of the Presidential Search Committee in order to facilitate the flow of information from the Committee to the Board. (Bd.
