What do nurses do?

Nurses are found at every stage of the patient experience, from birth to end of life.

As a nurse, you use your health knowledge, critical thinking and judgment to meet your patients’ biological, physical and behavioral needs.

You may assess patients, perform exams, take health histories, provide health education, administer medication, advocate for public health and much more.

Your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is the foundation for your nursing career.

Superb pass rates

To become a registered nurse, you must take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) after you graduate.

Our students had a first-time pass rate of 96 percent for students graduating May 2025 on the NCLEX-RN examination. Student cohort groups who graduated in May 2024 and December 2024, both achieved first-time pass rates of 98% on the NCLEX-RN examination.

How much does a BSN nurse make?
