A preceptor (teacher/instructor) in the community supervises your partnership role.
Work with a school nurse in a local school district.
Do health assessments and screenings for health issues with students in grades K-12.
Teach good habits, assist in health education and learn new management skills.
Our students and faculty also give screenings in school districts that do not have a nurse on staff.
You can complete your pediatric rotation by spending one week of your second summer of nursing school at Camp Barnabas. Help children of various ages and abilities.
A faculty member oversees every clinical rotational group. You’ll have one-on-one attention as you help campers have a great time.
Host nursing wellness clinics on a weekly basis. Help at-risk populations within the Springfield area.

You’ll work weekly at the site and meet your clients’ health care needs. These sites have no nursing or health care services available on a regular basis.

You’ll build trust with a client base who often experience poor health care delivery.

Take part in clinical rotations and treat patients who do not otherwise have access to quality medical care.
With supervision from faculty in the school, you’ll work with a variety of patients in a dynamic environment.
