GENERAL FUNCTION
Adjunct Faculty are unranked faculty members who offer educational experiences to students of the University on a part-time basis. The Adjunct Faculty member is qualified by academic or practical experience appropriate for the assigned teaching responsibilities. The Adjunct Faculty title is honorary.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum acceptable qualifications for the position of Adjunct Faculty are prescribed in the Faculty Handbook.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Adjunct Faculty member are assigned by the academic Department Head.
SUPERVISION
The Adjunct Faculty member receives administrative supervision from the Department Head and may exercise supervision of graduate assistants, undergraduate majors, or student employees.
