Requesting a Missouri State University Photographer

Photography charges for coverage of events increased to $75 per hour and drone photography increased to $100.00 per hour on July 1, 2024. Review all photography charges.

We offer photographic services that may be utilized to fulfill the mission of the Division of Marketing and Communications to represent and promote Missouri State University.

A Photographer Assignment Request Form must be filled out and submitted for all still photography requests. For video production please contact the office of video marketing.

With limited staff, and great demand for services, it is essential that advanced planning occurs. Please schedule assignments with at least 10 working days notice. Assignments with less than 10 working days must be granted an exception by the director. Assignments with less than five days notice will be considered “RUSH” assignments. Rush assignments are subject to not being scheduled if they interfere with other scheduled assignments, or work loads. Rush assignments also create more expenses and those expenses are passed on to the client.

A properly completed and submitted Photographer Assignment Request Form must accompany all requests for service.

There will be times, and dates, that assignments will naturally conflict, but it is also understood that we are a limited staff and in times of unavoidable conflict decisions will have to be made as to what assignments will take precedence over others. These decisions are not taken lightly and will be made for the greater need as well as the greater advantage of the university. This form is vital in the decision making process.
