Anson Elliott, a native of Houston Missouri, currently serves as Agriculture Senior Advisor with Convoy of Hope after serving as the Director of Missouri State University’s William H. Darr College of Agriculture from 1980 to 2016. Anson has served on various state and national boards addressing funding priorities in agriculture research, teaching, and extension. Anson earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education from the University of Missouri and completed his Master of Science and Ph.D. in Agronomy Plant Breeding through the National Defense Education Act Fellowship. His research achievements included the development of the first domesticated variety of Wild Rice at the University of Minnesota.
