Educational Video, Flu Vaccination, Biometric Screening

Save up to $360 on your annual health insurance premiums!

To educate employees about health benefits resources, support proactive health management, and reduce the impact of influenza on our workforce, full-time employees enrolled in the Health Plan will qualify for the full 2025 wellness incentive by completing any two (2) of the following actions:

  • Educational "Did You Know 2.0" Video: Qualifies for $15 per month discount
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination Shot: Qualifies for $15 per month discount
    • Flu vaccination should be received by employee between August 1, 2024, and December 1, 2024.
    • Employees who received vaccinations by a provider outside of Magers health, must report the appropriate documentation to Magers and have their medical immunization record updated to receive credit. You may bring the documents to the center or email them to MagersMedicalRecords@MissouriState.edu
  • Biometric Screening: Qualifies for $15 per month discount.
    • Biometric screening should be completed by the employee between January 1, 2024, and December 1, 2024.
    • Employees who complete their biometric screening by a provider outside of Magers health, must report the appropriate documentation to Magers and have their medical immunization record updated to receive credit. You may bring the documents to the center or email them to MagersMedicalRecords@MissouriState.edu

  • Each activity is worth a $15 monthly incentive. Employees may complete any two of the three activities to receive the full $30 incentive.

  • Completing all three activities is encouraged to maximize health benefits, however, maximum incentive is $30 monthly.

Flu Vaccinations:

Flu Vaccinations are available to all employees, full- or part-time, and members of their household; provided at no cost to the employee. By participating in the wellness activity, health care plan members can save up to $360 per year on their premiums for the 2025 plan year.
  • Employees unable to receive a flu vaccination due to disability, medical contraindication, or sincerely held religious belief can still qualify for the full $30 incentive by completing the biometric screening and the “Did You Know 2.0” questionnaire. No accommodation is required when the other 2 activities are completed.
  • If further accommodation is necessary, requests must be submitted to Julia Holmes, Deputy Compliance Officer, at JuliaHolmes@MissouriState.edu or 417-836-6755 by November 1, 2024. Late requests will not be accepted.
Schedule your Vaccine:

Vaccinations are available through Magers Health and Wellness Center in Springfield and Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains.

Biometric Screening:

Biometric screening must be received by employee between 1/1/24 and 12/1/24. Employees who receive screening/labs outside of Magers health, must report the appropriate documentation to Magers and have their medical record updated to receive credit.

        • venipuncture (arm) blood draw for lipid panel and hemoglobin A1c (average blood sugar over last 3 months)
        • blood pressure
        • weight
        • waist measurement

Verify your records:

For employees to receive credit for their wellness incentive when services are provided with a provider other than Magers Health and Wellness center, proof must be submitted to Magers.

Please verify your records are updated in your MyHealth portal prior to December 1, 2024 to ensure wellness incentive.
