Classroom Instructional Technologies

CIT serves the University’s classroom instructional technology needs through their Technical Services area. Technical Services is available to assist Colleges and Departments in assessing classroom technology needs and recommending appropriate solutions to meet the teaching and learning objectives. They then engineer, install and support instructional technology solutions in classrooms on the Springfield campus. CIT also maintains the Classroom Help Desk providing faculty with a one call solution for reporting problems with classroom instructional technology.

The Classroom Help Desk is an initiative of the Instructional Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC), and the Information Technology Council (IT Council) to establish a single point of contact for instructors to request assistance with classroom instructional technology.

Technical Services maintains a state-of-the-art electronic repair facility to diagnose and repair problems with media technology.
Classroom Technology Standards

The Instructional Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC) reports to the Information Technology (IT) Council. ITAC recommends technology standards including hardware, software, room level classifications, terminology and other items deemed appropriate by the IT Council.
